Aline Binetruy

Vice President

Aline Binetruy originates from Switzerland. After travelling back and forth for 4 years, she has migrated to Australia in 2020. She has settled in Nimbin, with her youngest son and husband, a little more than 2 years ago. Everyday Aline feels more a part of the welcoming community that is Nimbin.

She has fallen in love with the village, the region, the kindness of people and all the beautiful projects and initiatives that are going on here. Aline has always worked freelance, mostly in finance at the beginning of her career as well as a consultant on business, organisation, strategic planning, and HR matters.

Over the last 10 years her work has evolved with a large part connected to communication and co-operation. This is where complex problem solving is required. There is nothing that a team with a good cooperation cannot do. Today Aline is member of boards and helps corporates and individuals to take a step back and to create the space that allows problems to be solved, rather than simply generating reaction.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Economics and has regularly undertaken training in areas such as leadership, communication, facilitation, flat hierarchy organisation, work practice analysis and more. Aline likes to help people to understand each other and themselves; to help shaping a vision and strategies to realise that vision though organisation, structure, prioritisation, and communication – helping to regain energy and to focus on what matters.

On a more private side Aline enjoys all sorts of things that put the creativity and imagination first. This includes cooking, shared painting with her son, storytelling, improvisation theatre and, above everything, she is passionate about human nature.
