Chamber Member Spotlight

Nestled in the beautiful countryside just outside Nimbin, Blue Knob Hall Gallery is much more than a gallery. It’s a volunteer-run creative and community space bringing together local artists, makers, musicians, writers and community members.

With regularly changing exhibitions, a dedicated solo exhibition space, ceramics, workshops, live music and the much-loved KIN Café, there is always something happening at Blue Knob.

At the heart of it all is a commitment to giving local artists opportunities to share their work and keeping creativity accessible to community.

A friendly Q&A

What's one thing happening at Blue Knob Hall Gallery right now that you're genuinely excited about?

Ooh -  it’s difficult to pin one thing down! Probably the celebration of 20 years of The Fibre Show. We have a wonderful display of work, in the Solo Space, from the fibre artists who started it all  - Polly Stirling, Sachiko Kotaka and Sylvia Watt. We also have some lovely fibre pieces in the members gallery form our regular contributing artists.

What do you wish more locals or visitors knew about the Gallery?

The fact that we are a unique gallery, run by volunteers, which runs exhibitions every 8 weeks to encourage and promote local artists and also the fact that we have a space designated for solo artists who need a space to showcase their work.

What's one thing you love most about being part of the Nimbin business and community?

Being part of a local, vibrant and artistic community full of diversity, creativity and connection. I love the way Nimbin celebrates individuality, supports local businesses and brings people together.
