Celebrating 10 Years of the Nimbin Roots Festival

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Nimbin Roots Festival, the Nimbin Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the festival organisers to make this milestone year extra special for the local community.

We’d love to see more community involvement in the event, local businesses making the most of the extra visitors to our village, and more locals getting out to enjoy fantastic live music from a range of talented performers. Here’s an update:

Get Involved: Promote Your Business!

The Festival is printing 2,000 program booklets (1,000 for attendees, 1,000 distributed around the region). The booklet will also be available online. Your business could feature:

• ½ page ad: $300

• ¼ page ad: $150Includes free artwork assistance if needed and listing on nimbinrootsfest.com

What’s New This Year?

• Local musos with dedicated time slots in the program

• A parade along Rainbow Walk on Saturday 25th (clothed!)

• Siesta time will be incorporated into the program to allow food venues to better prepare for the dinner rush without the time pressure from those not wanting to miss an act.

• Community letterbox drop 2 weeks out to keep everyone in the loop

• Regular updates when there’s news to share

• Buskers are encouraged but need to be self-organised

How You Can Help

• Volunteer! Do 2 x 4hr shifts and score a free festival pass (apply on the Roots Festival website)

• Local food venues are encouraged to get a Festival menu together

• Display posters and flyers in your shop

• Join the “Best-Dressed Window” competition – win a double pass to the festival!

• Advertise in the program booklet if you are a food outlet or accommodation provider not shown on the website
